Holland America Line celebrates new series of ‘Cruising with Jane McDonald’

Holland America Line is highlighting its Australia and New Zealand itineraries, following the first episode of the latest series of Bafta award-winning travelogue ‘Cruising with Jane McDonald’.
The series kicked off in style last Friday on Channel 5, where Jane explored the best of Australia and New Zealand whilst cruising on Holland America Line’s Noordam ship.

The following itineraries depart from Sydney, showcasing destinations of dramatic scenery and the rich heritage of Australia and New Zealand on 10 or 14-night explorer trips.

 14-night Australia and New Zealand -24 February 2018 – 10 March 2018
Departing the iconic Sydney Harbour on the Noordam, this itinerary visits the cultural hotspot of Melbourne before heading to Tasmania’s Hobart, followed by New Zealand’s stunning Milford Sound, historic Dunedin, Picton, the cool capital of Wellington, Napier, Rotarua, and finishing in the cosmopolitan city of Auckland.

In Rotarua, the curved shoreline of the Bay of Plenty is home to New Zealand's only active marine volcano, as well as 650 years of Maori history. For the outdoor adventurer there are incredible white-sand beaches, with the city offering visitors a number of water-focused activities, like sailing and kayaking.  For those looking to immerse themselves in the cultural scene, destinations such as Christchurch offer guests the chance to experience the French influence of the oldest European settlement on the South Island.

This cruise also gives nature lovers the opportunity to see a range of incredibly diverse wildlife and landscapes, whether it be getting up close with a Tasmanian Devil in the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary or enjoying a scenic trip through the beautiful Fiordland National Park.
