Early evening cruises soar in popularity for City Cruises York

Sightseeing operator reports overall sales increase of 28%
City Cruises York has carried 28% more passengers in January to July 2017 compared with the same period in 2016, with a staggering 70% increase in sales for the Early Evening Cruise.
The increase in passenger numbers caps a busy summer period for the sightseeing operator, which was acquired by City Cruises on May 5th this year.

To cater for the growing demand, City Cruises York has added additional cruises to its schedule. The Early Evening Cruise will now sail every night during September as well as the last two weeks of October to coincide with half-term dates around the country.

The hour-long cruise departs from Kings Staith Landing at 7.30pm and has a fully stocked bar serving beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks.

City Cruises York’s Sales & Marketing Manager Mark Mattinson says: “We’re thrilled to be experiencing record sales at City Cruises York. The investment provided by our new owners, City Cruises, has enabled us to develop new ideas and sightseeing tours and we’re looking forward to building on these initial successes in the coming months.”
