Direct Ferries fuels growth in the American market with the launch of a dedicated U.S. website

Direct Ferries, the one-stop shop for ferry travellers has launched the first ever U.S. ferry travel comparison site, offering localised deals for the American market.    
The site has been launched in response to the growing demand from American travellers – so far over 250,000 bookings have been made by Americans on Direct Ferries’ UK and worldwide sites.  The dedicated U.S. site will capitalise on this growing market, offering the flexibility to compare 1,000’s of ferry crossings worldwide in a quick and easy search to find the best localised ferry deals.

Matt Davies, managing director at Direct Ferries said: “Direct Ferries has experienced over 15 years of continued growth with revenues in excess of £100 million and (including our latest addition of the US), we are now present in 25 markets worldwide.   We are very well placed to meet the demand from U.S. citizens travelling by ferry, not just in the U.S. and Canada but also in Europe and the rest of the world. 

"We are delighted that we can now offer U.S. travellers a dedicated site with localised deals and we have been focussed on further developing our ferry route network from the U.S. Canada and Central America.”  

Direct Ferries has recently signed commercial deals with Bahamas Express, Baja Ferries and America Cruise Ferries, as well as BC Ferries and Clipper Vacations in Canada. In addition the company has agreements in place to offer ferry services between the U.S. and Cuba when operations commence. It is anticipated relaxation of the travel embargo to Cuba for American citizens will further fuel the growth of ferry travel in the sector.
