Allure of the Seas debuts in Europe with after extensive dry dock revitalisation

Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas has emerged from an 18-day dry dock revitalisation and begun her first season of European itineraries.
Whether gliding on an 82-foot zip line, scaling a 43-foot rock-climbing wall or sprawling out 136 feet above sea level in a cantilevered whirlpool, holidaymakers can take advantage of a number of unique, breathtaking bird’s-eye views on board as they sail into some of Europe’s most captivating cities.

The ship, renowned for helping redefine cruise holidays in the Caribbean, will home-port in Barcelona until October 2015, sailing to destinations including Marseilles, Pisa and Rome, while offering a host of new restaurants, high-end boutiques and refurbished suites and staterooms that combine to offer an unmatched European adventure for the whole family.  

With 18 distinct restaurants, Allure of the Seas ramps up the flavour with a host of new culinary experiences:
·       Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, a reimagined Izumi Japanese Cuisine, offering a full teppanyaki menu, as well as fresh and flavoursome sushi rolls and sashimi
·       Sabor Taqueria & Tequila Bar, featuring a mouthwatering menu of authentic, modern and unexpected Mexican dishes, including hand-made guacamole. These dishes can be complemented by a curated beverage menu of tequilas, mezcal, and Mexican beers – as well as delicious sangrias and margaritas mixed at your table
·       Coastal Kitchen, an exclusive restaurant for suite guests and Pinnacle members, fuses Mediterranean influences with the unmatched riches of California’s bountiful farmlands. The experience is complemented by a robust wine list, curated specifically for the venue  

Holidaymakers on board Allure of the Seas can also continue to enjoy Giovanni’s Table, 150 Central Park and Vintage Wine Bar, as well as all the popular specialty restaurants introduced on the Oasis Class of Royal Caribbean ships.  

Royal Caribbean is introducing 10 new suites on the newly revitalised ship – including two Royal Suites, six Grand Suites and two Royal Family Suites – offering breathtaking views of the ocean or the ship’s signature AquaTheater and Boardwalk neighbourhood.  

The suites offer a new level of sophistication, featuring a variety of exclusive amenities such as a Suite Lounge, a private area for suite guests to relax offering unmatched expansive views of the ship and sea, and the Sun Deck, a new deck space giving suites guests the chance to soak-up and relax in the sun with lounge furniture, shaded and seating areas and private service – plus access to Coastal Kitchen, the suites-only full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  

Allure of the Seas’ passengers can shop till they drop with new and exciting on board boutiques kate spade new york and Michael Kors, in addition to Coach fine leathers boutique, a firm favourite of Royal Caribbean guests. There is also a wide selection of fine jewellery and luxury timepieces in the new Regalia in the Park, a signature duty-free boutique set in the ship’s Central Park neighborhood.  

Allure of the Seas will be home-ported in Barcelona, Spain, for the first full Oasis-class European season through to October 2015, before returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2015, where she will alternate exciting seven-night Western and Eastern Caribbean warm weather getaway itineraries every Sunday.
