Adventure Canada reveals new 2016 expedition catalogue

Announcing the return of Sable Island & Arctic Safari adventures—and a brand new stop on Prince Edward Island

Adventure Canada, experts in small-ship and land-based expeditions to the Canadian Arctic, east coast regions and Greenland, has released a top-notch lineup of new and returning 2016 expedition cruises today. Travellers can expect the adventure company’s signature voyages from 2015, along with the return of expeditions to Sable Island, from June 11–16, 2016, Arctic Safari, August 4–15, 2016, and Greenland & Wild Labrador, June 29–July 11, 2016.

“We whole-heartedly welcome guest, travel agent, and partner feedback—especially when fine-tuning our future programming and creating new adventure itineraries,” said Cedar Swan, Adventure Canada CEO. “We’re thrilled to bring back Sable Island and Arctic Safari as they were expedition favourites of 2014, and we look forward to taking our intrepid guests to Prince Edward Island for the first time.”

New Expeditions
Sable Island, a small sandbar located three hundred kilometres southeast of Halifax, is a historical landmark for shipwrecks and early hunting routes. One highlight of the Sable Island expedition is the opportunity to see one of the world’s last wild equine populations, who freely roam the mysterious island. In addition to wild horses, the world’s largest colony of grey seals also breeds on Sable Island, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

Arctic Safari, another popular expedition in 2014, returns in 2016. Cruise Greenland’s fjords and gaze at the icebergs while searching for polar bears, whales, and muskox. Travellers will also visit Prince Leopold Island, a remote locale for birding and one the arctic's premiere breeding grounds. Additional itinerary changes include a brand new stop on Prince Edward Island, aboard the Mighty Saint Lawrence expedition, and a new itinerary for Greenland and Wild Labrador, which now begins in St. John’s, Newfoundland and concludes in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

The Partner Portal
Adventure Canada will offer travel agents and partners enhanced access to resources, including updated trip notes for each expedition in PDF format, as well as Adventure Canada’s brochure, and high-resolution images. The portal also includes past trip logs to give prospective clients more information.
