Celebrity Cruises six figure investment puts Agents centre stage

Over a year in the planning and development, Celebrity Central is a one-stop integrated hub housing all websites, sales and marketing tools, training and learning, and valuable agent- dedicated assets in one place. The all new Celebrity Central has been built in close consultation with a panel of travel agents with key new features added due to their feedback and recommendations.

Launching on 4 October 2018, Celebrity Central (www.celebritycentral.co.uk) brings together all the resources from Cruising Power, AirWaves, the sales and marketing toolkit including the Celebrity Cruises Digital Library, Celebrity Rewards and the award-winning Cruising for Excellence into one comprehensive platform with one personalised log in. Agents no longer have to visit different websites for different tasks.

To date agents have needed to remember to visit multiple websites, apply various log-ins and generally spend a little more time than we would like getting to the right place. Today, that changes and everything is in one easily-searchable place. We’ve worked hand- in-hand with agents to ensure that all our different online tools are integrated, simple to access and, importantly, at their fingertips super-quickly.

We’re thrilled to welcome the evolutionary Celebrity Passport, our brand new training tool. Enhancing the service and support we offer our agent partners is a key mantra for our business and this is a major milestone in delivering on that promise.”  

A key area of feedback from agents who made up the dedicated Celebrity Central Travel Agent Panel was to ensure that the new platform was fully searchable. Celebrity Central features a google-style search-bar, plus highlights trending topics that are popular search terms at any one time in order to make it as easy as possible to find the right information.  

The new Celebrity Central features six easy-to-use hubs:
• Celebrity Campaigns – agents can quickly find precise and succinct updates on current campaigns and incentives. Plus, in response to feedback, agents can even take a look at archived campaigns to help them answer any questions.
• Celebrity Passport – the next evolution in Celebrity Cruises’ learning resource, replacing the award-winning Cruising for Excellence, Celebrity Passport is home to bite- size, mobile responsive modules lasting no more than five minutes. Agents involved in the development of Celebrity Central came up with the idea to earn stamps in their Celebrity Passport for each small group of modules they complete – now a new feature of the e-learning environment
• Celebrity Rewards – agents can view current ‘Celebrity Rewards’ promotions, track their own points total and find links to spend their rewards on anything from lunch to a shopping spree. During incentive campaigns, agents will be able to track their progress and compare against colleagues
• Celebrity Toolkit – an easy to navigate library of marketing materials including all the latest Celebrity Cruises campaign images. Agents and trade partner marketing teams will be able to upload their own marketing for a friendly and streamlined ‘chat style’ approval process
• Celebrity Bookings – agents will have a direct link to the AirWaves booking platform without any extra sign-in. This area will also deliver integrated links to the latest campaigns and resources to help maximise bookings
• Celebrity News – view all of Celebrity Cruises’ latest news, save the articles that catch attention and check out related learning modules or campaign resources  

The launch of Celebrity Central on 4 October 2018 coincides with one of the biggest campaigns Celebrity Cruises has ever initiated to reward agents, with 200 of the top sellers in the UK & Ireland winning the hottest ticket in town, a place at the Festival of Edge, a dedicated UK sailing on-board Celebrity Edge next May. The Celebrity Cruises sales team are on the road visiting agents to spread the word about Celebrity Central this September.
