Celebrity Cruises offers extensive programme of UK ship-based training

Celebrity Cruises interactive onboard event
Celebrity Cruises is maximising on its largest ever UK and Ireland deployment by offering more than 1,300 agents interactive ship-board training opportunities during 2018.
This weekend’s arrival of Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Silhouette in Southampton and Celebrity Eclipse becoming the first cruise ship to ever be based in Dublin kicks off the extensive training programme.

There are 26 agent ship visits on offer across Southampton, Liverpool, Dover, Belfast, Cork, Inverness, and Dublin. The popular treasure hunt and riddle solving training sessions are returning with six onboard interactive workshops being hosted around the UK. Plus, luxury agents can explore the brand’s Suite Class offering onboard in Southampton and Dublin.

Claire Stirrup, Celebrity Cruises sales director, UK and Ireland:   “We’re excited to make the most of such a colossal year of deployment in the UK and Ireland with so many opportunities for agents to get onboard our ships. Bringing to life the Celebrity Cruises guest experience through immersive and interactive training truly is the best way to learn more about what we offer and make it easier for agents to secure those sales. For the first time, this year’s CLIA Conference will also be onboard one of our ships – Celebrity Silhouette in Southampton – we’re looking forward to hosting so many agents and representatives from the cruise community in this huge year for us.”

To mark the arrival of Celebrity Silhouette for its first deployment out of the UK, 30 Celebrity Moments winners from a recent agent incentive are on-board for a two-night sailing to Paris and are being treated to a private wine tasting hosted by The Wine Show’s Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer. 15 of the top performing agents plus a further 15 ‘wildcard’ winners were rewarded with the sailing as a thank you for their support of the modern luxury brand.

2018 marks the ninth year that Celebrity Cruises has had a ship homeporting in Southampton. Celebrity Silhouette replaces the popular Celebrity Eclipse which sailed from Southampton for eight summers since its launch in 2010 and has moved to Dublin for summer 2018.

Celebrity Cruises sails on every continent in the world and has a fleet of 12 ships. The revolutionary new ship Celebrity Edge will join the fleet in November 2018, ahead of a summer season in Europe for 2019, including a 10-night Iberian Peninsula sailing from Southampton on 15 May 2019. The cruise line is part of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, the second large cruise business in the world.
