Warwick Conferences unveils its first ever Christmas offering at The Slate

The Slate
Warwick Conferences, a varied portfolio of five dedicated flexible conference and event venues within the University of Warwick, has announced that it will be opening its doors during the festive period for the first time ever.
Warwick Conferences latest venue The Slate, will be providing an exciting new Christmas party experience for exclusive, individual bookings for up to 200 guests.

During December 2018, The Slate’s 650 square metres of flat, contemporary and highly flexible event space will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland for £49 + VAT per person.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed into the festive spirit as they enter the venue through a fir-tree forest entrance, to be met by a warming mulled wine arrival drink. The evening will then proceed with a three course banquet of festive goodness, and conclude with a night of dancing and enjoying drinks from the venue’s igloo ‘ice’ bar.

The Slate is Warwick Conferences’ largest dedicated events venue and can cater for up to 400 guests. The venue was built with flexibility at the forefront of its design process, to cater for a variety of conferences, dinners and exhibitions. Now just over a year old, The Slate has so far received 1826 enquiries, at a significant value of £58,240,590. The venue is now looking to expand its expertise into the Christmas party market.

Paul Bartlett, Head of Sales at Warwick Conferences, comments:  “Whilst our venue offering remains distraction-free, the decision to open up The Slate to the corporate Christmas party market on an exclusive-use basis, makes complete sense for us. The Slate was built on our brand ethos of ‘anything is possible’ and turning dreams into a reality. The flexibility of this venue makes it the ideal blank canvas to dress with Christmas. This adornment of festive magic provides us with the perfect opportunity to showcase the versatility and potential of what The Slate can achieve, the fact it’s a fully flat, open space means there are no pillars or fixtures to get in the way.

“Our central location also makes us easily accessible for those travelling from the north and south, whether it be road or rail. Our on-site, hotel-styled bedrooms makes it the perfect location for those requiring overnight accommodation.”

As one of only ten of its type in the UK, The Slate is built from sustainable Breeam architecture, and offers an open, high wooden-crossbeam ceiling to offer the ultimate acoustic excellence. Fronted on a lake with a stunning glass façade, the venue’s lakeside location also offers guests a stunning viewpoint.
