Dickensian Christmas parties balanced by BMA House’s modern sustainable approach

BMA House
BMA House’s Wonders of Winter packages bring a taste of Dickensian tradition to its 2019 Christmas offering.  The packages celebrate the fact that Charles Dickens lived on the site of the venue from 1851 to 1860.

As a Grade II listed building, BMA House has many traditional features that make it the perfect location for a themed Christmas event.  This year, BMA House is enhancing its offering to include entry to the venue via the main courtyard gates, traditional carol singers and mulled wine under the night’s sky ahead of an evening including creative menus developed by (on-site) in-house caterers, CH&CO and festive entertainment.

“During the time Charles Dicken lived on the site several of his best-known works were published, including Bleak House, Hard Times, Little Dorrit, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations,” comments Kat Winfield, venue manager at BMA House.  “We wanted to bring the feeling of a traditional Christmas to our corporate offering this year and our historic links to Dickens provide the perfect opportunity.  Following our record-breaking summer parties, we have already seen a surge in Christmas bookings as organisers recognise we are far more than just a conference and meeting venue.”

The Wonders of Winter packages provide a creative juxtaposition to BMA House’s modern interior and sustainable offering, which has seen it win a host of environmental and sustainable awards.
