Dream of a white Christmas at The Crystal

The Crystal
One of London’s most sustainable and environmentally friendly venues is changing from green to white this Christmas – with festive food and fun for guests.
The Crystal, overlooking the city’s historic Royal Victoria Dock, not only houses exhibitions illustrating pioneering ecological advances, but is also one of the capital’s most innovative event spaces.

And now it is giving corporate and private hosts the chance to hold their festive party, dinner or drinks reception in a stylish, contemporary setting.

Parties of 80 guests or more can enjoy a Taste of Christmas banquet, with exclusive use of a private dining room, which will be carefully decorated along a ‘White Christmas’ theme.

They will then be served a three-course meal specially created by the venue’s catering and events partner, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events.

A starter of orange and cardamom cured salmon or honey roasted beetroot with glazed walnuts will be followed by either roast turkey with chestnut and sage stuffing or salt baked celeriac with chestnut crumb and roasted shallot oil.

Dinner will be rounded off with a dessert of amaretto and almond Christmas pudding with burnt butter caramel crumb.

Hosts can also choose from a variety of enhancements, such as an after dinner cheese board or mulled wine or cider and canapés on arrival.

Alternatively, parties of 150 guests or more can opt for a Taste of Christmas drinks reception, in a private event space with a spectacular 16ft Christmas tree, hot and cold bowl food and Bucks Fizz on arrival.

Again, trimmings – such as a dance floor, staging and DJ to LED furniture and a photo booth - can be added to the event.

Both Taste of Christmas packages are available from Monday to Saturday throughout December with prices starting at £75 plus VAT per person for the banquets and £57 plus VAT for the receptions and guest numbers are given for guidance only.
