Award-winning creative communications agency, We are Vista, have been awarded BITC's prestigious Responsible Business of the Year Award. Announced at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday 4th July, We are Vista were recognised for using their unique position as an SME working with huge Global companies, and demonstrating the power of this network in influencing integrated responsible business practices.

Internally they were recognised for promoting diversity and personal development, whilst also reducing their environmental impact.

Throughout 2016, the agency has reduced their carbon footprint by 43.65%, waste generated by 26.88% and carbon footprint for business travel by 37.75%. They have also been accredited with the Investors in People Silver Award and listed in best companies to work for.

James Wilkins, Managing Director, We are Vista commented on the win, “This is an immensely proud moment for us all in the business. To be recognised for the way in which we have put purpose at the heart of our business and through the work we have done with clients to support their desire to have a positive impact is a great achievement. For our business of our size to punch above its weight in the way we do and to now be in the company of previous winners such as Jaguar Land Rover, Fujitsu and Veolia, is a real milestone we want to push on from. The job is never done and we will make even more of a meaningful difference.”

Featuring in the Financial Times this week, Wilkins commented further on establishing a culture of sustainability that helps build a collaborative spirit, equipping companies to respond quickly to shifts in the business landscape. “You end up with a group of people connected to a bigger idea so you get more cross-working and a willingness to change.”

Amanda Mackenzie OBE, Chief Executive of Business in the Community, commented: “Congratulations to the 2017 Responsible Business Award winners for being inspirational yet practical examples of the difference business can make to address some of society’s biggest issues. The winning businesses are all different, they span sectors and continents and range from large high street names to small start-ups. What unites them is a belief that with courage vision and leadership, business can do remarkable things for good.”

We are Vista are enjoying a successful 2017 with a number of new business wins across financial services, software and technology sectors and delivering brand marketing campaigns both nationally and internationally, which has supported the agency’s growth plans and has led to several new appointments.
