Recognised and voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, this accolade recognises the hotel’s ongoing commitment to excellence in sustainability and luxury.
VILA VITA Parc ensures that every aspect of sustainability is thought of whether it is the Portuguese hand-made linens in the rooms, the terry bathroom towels, the Claus Porto bathroom amenities or the local Porches pottery. The resort always strives to endorse the use of local crafts and products, thus providing the true Portuguese identity to the resort that the hotel is known for.
VILA VITA Parc is also a foodie’s paradise with unrivalled organic culinary offering from home reared meat to olive oil, fresh compotes and flavoursome jams from their sister farm Herdade dos Grous. Both Herdade dos Grous and VILA VITA Parc are in charge of the meat production process, from raising the free range animals to transportation of the meat in VILA VITA Parc’s own refrigerated vans to master butcher, Thomas Weber at VILA VITA Parc’s Biergarten.
Another sustainable method being implemented at the resort enables the hotel to water their gardens (22 hectares), and fill most of their pools via the ocean. This is a process of desalinisation by osmosis and an investment that is entirely funded by VILA VITA Parc. In the future, all of the water usage in the resort, including the water in the lakes on the resort, will all be obtained by this process.
Set on a prime cliff top location within 54 acres of lush subtropical gardens, VILA VITA Parc offers an array of accommodation options, including private villas with spectacular views over the ocean. With 9 restaurants and 7 bars onsite, one of which is the 2 Michelin starred Ocean restaurant, there is plenty of choice for everyone. Whilst children enjoy the various activities on offer, there are options for the adults as well including the Vital Spa, three tennis courts, volleyball court, boccia lanes, mountain bike hire, 9 hole pitch and putt, 18 hole putting green and several 18 hole championship golf courses nearby.
VILA VITA Parc is delighted to be recognized as being a leading green hotel. This is evident not only through winning the World’s Leading Green Resort 2015 and Portugal’s Leading Green Hotel Award but also by receiving the seal of quality certification from TÜV Rheinland, recognising it as an ‘eco-hotel’ and furthermore winning the Boa Cama Sustainability platinum prize, the Chave de Platina 2015 (recognizing rational water consumption, energy saving and residue management).
