The Busby Hotel is crowned Wedding Venue of the Year 2016

The Busby Hotel in Glasgow has been awarded the prestigious title of Wedding Venue of the Year for 2016 at this year’s Scottish wedding industry awards, the VOWS.
At a glittering ceremony held at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel and hosted by comedian Fred MacAulay, the Busby Hotel, which is part of the Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group portfolio fought off strong competition from some of Scotland’s most acclaimed wedding venues.

The prestigious list also included one of their sister hotels, the Lynnhurst in Johnstone, Renfewshire. Hotels are nominated by bride and grooms. Also nominated was Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch in Fife, Rufflets in St Andrews, Western House in Ayrshire and The Balmoral in Edinburgh to name a few.

The Award tops off a successful refurbishment programme at the Busby Hotel, located in Clarkston, on Glasgow’s south side. Two beautiful modern function suites cater for both large and intimate weddings, for numbers of around 180 guests for a meal and 200 plus for an evening reception. An external balcony at the front of hotel provides a perfect setting to enjoy a glass of champagne overlooking stunning views of the River Cart.

With eight hotels in their expanding portfolio, the family run business value a personal touch. Also in their portfolio is the elegant Boclair House Hotel in Glasgow, and Cornhill Castle in Biggar, overlooking the River Clyde.
