Best Use of Social Media and Meta Search Website for travel site at Travolution Awards

Leading metasearch site triumphed this week at the prestigious Travolution Awards 2014, winning two awards at a ceremony at The Ballroom, Southbank on the evening of Tuesday 2nd December.

Firstly momondo won the award for Best Use of Social Media, for its pioneering Friend Compass SoLoMo app, which for the first time connects Facebooks’ API, device GPS and meta search technology to enable people to find the cheapest flights to wherever their friends live around the world.  

momondo secondly  won the award for Best Meta Search Website. The brands 103% year-on-year revenue growth, product innovation and host of free site tools, proved momondo had made the biggest impact in its market  over the past year, beating four other finalists.  

Both awards were presented by Editor of Travolution Lee Hayhurst and Writer & Presenter Danny Wallace.  

Group Head of Content and Social Media Pleasance Coddington declared: “I’m absolutely delighted our achievements have been recognised within the industry. I’m so proud to be a part of momondo – a company at the forefront of travel innovation.”
