Levy Restaurants UK’s clients win at Football Business Awards

Levy Restaurants UK’s high-profile clients, Chelsea Football Club and Royal Berkshire Conference Centre (RBCC), Madejski Stadium, Reading were recognised with awards at the prestigious Football Business Awards held at Stamford Bridge on 6 November 2014.

Celebrating innovation and best practice in the sector, the awards were judged by influential figures from football and the wider business community. Levy Restaurants UK achieved top spots for two of its stadia venues; Chelsea Football Club and Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading.  

Chelsea Football Club won Best Football Club Hospitality. The club was acknowledged for its customer-centric approach focused around innovation in the food and beverage offering, progressive use of technology and the creation of new hospitality packages to appeal to a broad demographic.  

The award for Best Non-match Day Use of Venue went to Royal Berkshire Conference Centre (RBCC), Madejski Stadium, Reading. Levy Restaurants UK drives the sales and marketing function at the venue through its team on site and its venue sales consortium Lime Venue Portfolio. The win was based on RBCC's strong sales performance throughout 2014 that helped improve the yield of events, as well as the profile of the companies using the venue.

Commenting on Chelsea Football Club’s award, the judges said: "Chelsea have broadened the appeal of their hospitality and had some outstanding results. There are some very strong initiatives including their mobile app.  They really do care about their customers and have achieved impressively high renewal rates.”  

The judging panel spoke of RBCC’s award: “The team met and exceeded tough targets in a very challenging operational environment with innovative solutions and hard work attracting outstanding feedback. An impressive example of how a focused team effort and a never say no attitude can deliver impressive returns to non-match day business.”
