Jurys Inn wins Best Accommodation Provider award at UK Inbound Convention

Hotel group, Jurys Inn, have been awarded the coveted ‘Accommodation Provider of the Year’ award at the renowned UK Inbound Convention’s Awards for Excellence.  Jurys battled off stiff competition from industry heavyweights Marriott and Macdonald Hotels to snap-up the coveted accolade which is recognised throughout the UK tourist industry.

The hotel chain took home the gong at the annual awards ceremony having been voted for by the members of UK Inbound and chosen to win from an independent panel of judges. The award is a real coup for Jurys, who has invested over £50 million into transforming their hotels over the past eighteen months.

Last year brought incredible change for Jurys Inns after bringing on board 9 new hotels making a total of 36 properties in their portfolio across the UK, Ireland and Czech Republic. To coincide with the acquisition of these hotels, the brand also entered into a programme of refurbishment of 16 of their properties which is set to continue throughout 2017.

The refurb programme involved a complete transformation of all bedrooms including the introduction of the bespoke DREAM bed as well as public spaces, including the opening of Marco Pierre White restaurants at selected properties as well as the installation of Costa Coffee bars in hotels across the portfolio. A number of the hotels have had extensions to accommodate more guest rooms and spaces.

Part of their substantial renovations across the group included the re-launch of two key hotels, Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel and Conference Venue and Jurys Inn Oxford Hotel and Conference Venue. Both of which have received major investment including the addition of a dedicated training suite at Hinckley and an extension to Oxford to create 72 additional bedrooms and a purpose-built conference centre and activity centre.

Marc Webster, Head of Sales at Jurys Inn commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have won this industry recognised award as it highlights the positive journey Jurys Inn has taken over the past eighteen months. It is testament to all the hard work and investment we have put into transforming our hotels. It is a real honour to be recognised by the organisation known for being the voice for inbound tourism in the UK".
