Overall winner out of 1,000 airport lounges in 500 citiesThe results have been announced for the 12th annual Airport Lounge of the Year Programme. As many as 60,000 Priority Pass Members voted on criteria ranging over lounge quality, refreshments, staff, business facilities and ambience.
Out of over 1,000 lounges in 500 cities worldwide, the winner of The Priority Pass 2016 Global Airport Lounge of the Year is the Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 2, Heathrow, London.
This 8,100sqm facility showcases sleek interior design and contemporary British culture. A ceiling centrepiece holds a Union Jack flag, there are private bedrooms, luxurious shower rooms and a Wellness Spa. On its menu, the signature dish is Chicken Tikka Masala.
Other award winners include: Petra Lounge at Amman Queen Alia International for Africa & Middle East, Asiana Lounge at Seoul Incheon International for Asia/Pacific, The Club at San Jose CA Mineta International for North America and the The Caribbean VIP Lounge at Guadalajara Miguel Hidalgo International for Latin America,.
