EVCOM Industry Awards recognise the best of the best

The inaugural EVCOM Industry Awards, which recognise the ‘best of the best’, are now open for entry and mark the first ceremony to celebrate all forms of corporate communication. The ground-breaking awards are unique in bringing together the gold standard in live events, moving image, as well as, digital – meaning there has never been a better opportunity to celebrate excellence in integrated communications.

For the first year EVCOM has also teamed up with the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) in a move that will see the two events share a stage on 17th November at the Park Plaza Westminster.

The EVCOM Industry Awards are founded on inclusivity and are relevant for all agencies and production companies, both big and small. Dedicated categories for challenger agencies and established players allow everyone the chance to shine. Ultimately the aim is to highlight the creativity, effectiveness and sheer brilliance of each project, from conception and planning, through to execution and evaluation.

Andrew Smith, EVCOM, Chair said: “We are excited to be launching an event that brings together integrated communications like never before. We feel the EVCOM Industry Awards provide a chance for the corporate communication specialists from every field to come together and celebrate their achievements.”

As with all EVCOM awards, judging will be independent, impartial and carried out by panels of experts including communications directors, event planners and producers.

Martin Lewis, managing editor at CAT Publications said: ”We are delighted to be collaborating with EVCOM, on what will be an important event in the industry’s calendar. We look forward to breaking new ground and helping EVCOM to produce a night that celebrates the inspirational work from all areas of the industry.”

On the night there will be 17 EVCOM Industry Awards up for grabs. Eight of these categories will recognise the most creative and effective projects selected from gold winners in the 2017 EVCOM Screen Awards, Live Awards and Clarion Awards. Projects winning gold from these competitions are automatically entered and no new entries can be accepted.

The remaining nine categories are now open for entries, and entering the awards could not be easier. Five awards will recognise the success of specific projects, grouped by sector; Communication effectiveness, Brand communication, Internal communication, Integrated marketing and Regular communication. The remaining four accolades reward the outstanding work of agencies and production companies with categories including Challenger production company of the year, Production company of the year, Challenger event agency of the year and Event agency of the year.

The awards for Agency and Production company of the year will be judged by a panel of senior communications directors. Shortlisted entrants will be invited to an interview with the panel, to be held in central London in late October.

The Platinum Award will recognise the one outstanding project of all the EVCOM gold winners in 2017. It cannot be entered directly and will be judged by the same panel of senior communications directors as the Agency/Production company awards.
