Morton’s at The Venetian Macao received a “One Glass” Award of Excellence, while Copa added a second glass to the single glass acknowledgement it picked up in 2016 to score a Best of Award of Excellence.

This is the sixth consecutive year that U.S. lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator has bestowed prestigious awards on Sands China restaurants for their outstanding wine lists.

The restaurant wine list award program has three levels: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and Grand Award. Each level follows select qualifications utilised by a multi-judge panel. The criteria range from quantitative measurements such as number of wine selection to depth, range and display of the list.

Philip Chong, vice president of food and beverage, Sands China Ltd. said, “We are honoured and delighted that so many of our great restaurants have been recognised by Wine Spectator, the world’s leading wine authority. We are committed to offering the complete fine dining experience to our customers and these prestigious awards are one of the best indicators that we are succeeding in this.”

Founded in 1976, Wine Spectator magazine introduced its Restaurant Awards programme to review wine lists in 1981. They recognise restaurants which offer interesting wine selections appropriate to their cuisine which appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
