DUFL Business Travel Show Disrupt Award
DUFL, the travel app that stores, cleans, packs and ships business travellers’ clothes and accessories to a specified destination has won the first ever Business Travel Show Disrupt Award.

The award was presented at the Business Travel Show this afternoon by event director David Chapple following pitches by five finalists – all startups under two years old – to the panel of judges:
• Paul Revel, Editor Buying Business Travel
• Mark Cuschieri, ITM Chairman and Executive Director, Group Corporate Services, Global Travel Management UBS
• Jafles Pacheco, Head of Global Travel, OC Oerlikon Management AG
• Carol Randall, Head of Consulting, UK at Areka Consulting
• Achim Schmitz, Senior Director Travel Management, Adidas Group

All five finalists are exhibitors within the new Business Travel Show Launchpad, which was introduced to provide a free platform to showcase new business travel ventures with pioneering products and services.

“We’re ecstatic to have won this award; it’s an absolute privilege to be recognised by leading people within the European business travel industry,” said George Meek, managing director EMEA, DUFL.
“Winning signifies a huge step forward for us; it validates our business proposition and that DUFL is truly disruptive. We owe a huge thank you to the Business Travel Show for the support its shown to startups like DUFL – without this opportunity we wouldn’t have been able exhibit at the show and met so many influential buyers.”

DUFL will receive a three-hour consultancy session with travel technology entrepreneur and investor Matt Zito and the Travel Startups Incubator advisory team, as well as a stand at the Business Travel Show 2017 worth £8,000.

DUFL’s four fellow finalists were Beepry, beTravelwise, Flitways and TravelPerk. TravelPerk was presented with the Industry Choice award after winning the first wave of public voting. It claims to revolutionise the way organisations budget, book and manage their business travel with its unique dynamic budgeting algorithm, incentives for employees to save, as well as reporting, dashboards, expense integrations, flexible payments and more, all within a single easy-to-use platform and at no cost to the user.
