Dormy House named Condé Nast Johansens Best Countryside Hotel

Cotswolds favourite, Dormy House in Broadway has been awarded “Best Countryside Hotel” by Condé Nast Johansens at the 2016 UK & Ireland Awards for Excellence.  The winners were revealed at the 35th annual awards dinner which took place on Monday at The Mayfair Hotel in London

Part of the privately owned Farncombe Estate, Dormy House re-opened in August 2013 following a brilliant transformation by London based design house Todhunter Earle.  In February 2014, the hotel launched House Spa – a brand new Cotswolds destination spa designed by Sparcstudio, who are based in Putney, London.

“We are thrilled and honoured that Dormy House has won this category,” says Andrew Grahame CEO of Farncombe Estate. “We pride ourselves on our excellent service and facilities and I’m extremely proud of all our staff who have shown commitment in every area of the hotel to achieve this recognition.”

The Condé Nast Johansens awards were created to “acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across Condé Nast Johansens properties”.  They are based on responses from online voting, guest feedback, and local expert reports and have become renowned as a trusted mark of quality recognised by consumers and travel professionals alike.

This is the third year in row Dormy House has been recognised at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards, having won ‘Best Spa Hotel’ for the past two years.
