The Employee Engagement Awards celebrate the best businesses in the UK and Ireland and represent the companies that strive to do things differently in order to create an engaging working environment, and put their workforce at the heart of its operation.
An esteemed judging panel, including a selection of well respected current and former HR directors and CEOs, selected the industry winners. The Investors in People ‘Company of the Year’ Award, presented to Dorchester Collection, reflects the organisation’s ability to prove not only that their business strategy for Employee Engagement works, but also that it demonstrates a clear and measurable return on investment in this area. The winner is judged on the implementation of an innovative and strategic programme that may include the use of social media, a reward and recognition approach as well as an efficient internal communications plan amongst other criteria.
Commenting on the award, founder of the Employee Engagement Awards, Matt Manners, states: ‘Dorchester Collection was the clear winner this year. The fact that they have co-created their own engagement metric with Cornell University shows the lengths that Eugenio Pirri and his team have gone to ensure their employees are engaged throughout the business. Dorchester Collection has set the bar high in our first year and we look forward to them and everyone else trying to raise it again next year.’
Dorchester Collection’s vice president for people and organisational development, Eugenio Pirri, comments: ‘We are delighted to receive this award in recognition for our continued commitment to employee engagement. At Dorchester Collection, we strive to ensure the highest levels of standards are delivered across all areas of the business and our team is integral to achieving this.’
