Deadline extended for Event Photography Awards 2015

Photographers, venues, agencies and events professionals now have an extra four weeks to collate their best event photographs to be in with a chance of being named Event Photographer of the Year and best in class across a range of award categories, with the deadline for entries now extended to 17 February 2015.

This year’s award entrants will have their photographs reviewed and critiqued by an eminent panel of experts, selected for their experience, influence and knowledge of the hospitality and events industry. No strangers to amazing experiences, they have been brought together to select the Best Professional and Best Amateur photographer for each category. They will also select a Runner Up and Highly Commended photographer in each category, as well as selecting a Grand Prix prize for the best professional shot and best amateur shot overall.

Photographs taken using a smartphone or tablet can be entered into any of the Amateur categories, with the creator of the best overall being in the running to be named Best Mobile Photographer.

The Event Photography Awards 2015 is open to anyone who is working in or involved in the events and hospitality industry, and both amateur and professional photographers are invited to capture “the moment” in any of nine new sub categories, which include music events, cultural events, sporting events, trade shows, experiential and behind the scenes.

Philip Atkins, managing director of Off to Work, the specialist events staffing agency that founded the Event Photography Awards, welcomes entries from right across the breadth of the industry: “If you’re involved in running events, providing services to events, or attending events, you should enter. We’re keen to see photographs capturing experiences at a whole host of occasions.”

The Event Photography Awards 2015 are sponsored by the Barbican, the London venue that will host the glittering awards night in April 2015, Off to Work, Perton Signs, Exposure Communications and Café Create.
