E-Cristal has been used by Corinthia hotels in London, Lisbon, Prague, Lisbon and St Petersburg to collect and share real-time data on food, safety, eco, fire, aqua, pool and room checks. E-Cristal, developed in accordance with the World Health Organisation, gives managers 24/7 control across all properties.

Collecting this information has helped Corinthia’s hotel management to maintain consistently high standards across the group, which is upheld by independent audits undertaken on a monthly basis. “Since working with Cristal International Standards, we have significantly raised our health and safety standards. With ‘Craftsmanship of Care’ at the heart of our brand, we often emphasise how we tailor our product to the individual guest’s preferences. Safety, however, transcends this as our highest priority – both for our guests and our staff. This award recognises all our efforts, and we are extremely proud to receive such an accolade” said Roderick Micallef, Vice-President of Operations f0r Corinthia Hotels.

Steve Tate, chairman at Cristal International Standards explains, “Every year, we are delighted to single out one group that has consistently achieved outstanding levels of health and safety.  We have been extremely impressed with Corinthia’s hard work to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests across its establishments.”

As part of Corinthia Hotels’ consistent commitment to health and safety standards, its properties in London, Lisbon, Prague, Budapest and St Petersburg have been listed on Cristal International Standards’ consumer website, This is the only website to provide the travelling public with access to a database of hotels that have obtained consistently high standards of hygiene & safety.
