Chef Wolfgang Puck honoured with International Outstanding Achievement Award

Chef Wolfgang Puck
Renowned Chef Wolfgang Puck received the exceptional Catey award of International Outstanding Achievement in front of an audience of 1,250 industry figures. Presenting the award to Puck, Clive Jacobs, chairman of The Caterer’s parent company Jacobs Media Group, described the quality and scope of his operation as “simply phenomenal”.

Puck, whose name is attached to more than 100 restaurants around the globe including Dorchester Collection’s CUT at 45 Park Lane and Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, opened his first flagship restaurant Spago in 1982 which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year. This has been one of many key achievements Puck has held over the years including, opening his first steak house restaurant in Europe (CUT at 45 Park Lane), catering to the Oscars for 24 consecutive years, as well as becoming the second chef ever to receive a star on the internationally renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The success in his continual worldwide restaurant expansion also pays credit to his ability to discover, nurture and propel other talented chefs, as they assist in spearheading his restaurants, one of which he personally thanked last night - executive chef David McIntyre from CUT at 45 Park Lane. Puck’s latest accolade honours the celebrated chef’s ongoing successes and unwavering devotion to the catering world.
