Chef Fritz Machala wins prestigious Contract Catering Chef of the Year Award

Windsor Park Head Chef Fritz Machala named Contract Catering Chef of the Year.
Stars of the hospitality industry gathered at the Titanic Belfast for the Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism, where Chef Fritz Machala scooped the award for Contract Catering Chef of the Year.
At the glittering awards ceremony, Chef Fritz Machala, Head Chef at The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, was recognised for his creativity, skill and commitment to producing excellent food.


Part of the award-winning Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events team, Chef Fritz is renowned for creating expertly designed menus and delicious gourmet dishes for a range of corporate and private events, using the best of Belfast’s locally sourced produce.  

A well-known figure in Northern Ireland, Fritz has over 25 years’ experience in the catering industry, working to Michelin Star and 3 AA Rosette standard before joining the team at Windsor Park in October 2016.  

This year was the 23rd anniversary of the coveted Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism, and saw a record number of entries across 21 different categories.  

The competitive awards, which were judged by an independent panel, recognise talented individuals who have made a valuable contribution to their business and industry over the past year.
