Cary Arms & Spa wins Double Gold at Devon Tourism Awards and announces two New Cottages for Spring 2018

The de Savary owned Cary Arms & Spa won the double at the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards on 23rd November, with Golds for the much coveted “Small / Boutique Hotel of the Year” and “Spa and Wellbeing Experience of the Year”.

The award-winning and much loved boutique hotel recently underwent a £2million development project, which included the building of the Spa, six Beach Huts and two Beach Suites and was completed in January 2017.

The new Beach Huts and Suites bring a fresh sophistication to the South Devon coast. The clean, elegant lines of the six duplex Beach Huts are partnered with bold-print fabrics and contemporary furnishings, reflecting the fluid lines and colours of the coast. Top international designs and artwork have been handpicked from Italy and France.

Set only feet from the sea, each Beach Hut comes with a wide sun-bathing terrace, a luxurious sofa in front of a romantic fire and a huge mezzanine level bed with outstanding views out to sea. The two impressive Beach Suites suspended over the sea combine further exceptional facilities with privacy for the ultimate in romantic retreats.

Sitting just above the inn, the Cary Spa boasts uninterrupted vistas of the unspoilt Jurassic coastline from a beautiful sun deck and a dramatic glass fronted hydrotherapy pool and relaxation room. Three treatment rooms, including a couple’s massage room, offer a range of treatments from leading marine-themed French beauty and skincare brand Thalgo. An innovative mood-enhancing aromatherapy light shower, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and a gymnasium are also available for rest and relaxation. Cary Spa not only offers guests tranquillity but an exclusive viewing of admired American Art illustrations, from Peter de Savary’s private collection.

Following on from their success in the regional awards, Cary Arms & Spa look forward to the South West Tourism Awards in February 2018, where they hope to progress further.

Not a hotel to sit on its laurels, the team behind the Cary Arms & Spa has announced that two new self-catering cottages will be added to the offering in 2018. The three-bedroomed Cove Cottage will be ready for Spring 2018.
