Hotel General Manager Ben Mayou commented: ‘I am delighted with the award. Our executive head chef, Justin Woods, has worked tirelessly to build a restaurant on the foundations of great ingredients, locally sourced produce and exceptional attention to detail. Clearly this is a winning combination with our diners and we thank everyone who voted for us.’

Executive head chef at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Castle Green, Justin Woods, added: ‘“The whole Hotel team is thrilled to have won these awards. What made the evening so special is that the awards are voted for by the public. To win the regional award is wonderful, but to achieve the national award is just fantastic!’

‘It is great to know that the voting public appreciate our passion for locally produced traditional foods served in a contemporary style, coupled with our commitment to a strong and friendly service delivered by Joel Kirkpatrick and his team in the Restaurant.’
