Airds Hotel & Restaurant named Scottish Luxury Hotel of the Year 2020

Airds Hotel & Restaurant in Port Appin on the West coast of Scotland is named Scottish Luxury Hotel of the Year in The Good Hotel Guide 2020, published on 7th October.
Out of 830 listings in Britain’s leading independent UK hotels guide Airds is the only Scottish hotel of the ten elite properties selected for a César Award.

These are the acknowledged Oscars of hotel-keeping and reflect distinctive style and an exceptional standard of hospitality. According to the Guide: ‘…Shaun and Jenny McKivragan’s former ferry inn is a place for indulgence. Bedrooms have designer fabrics, Bulgari toiletries; dinner brings superb West Coast produce. Breakfast is exceptional.’

Named after celebrated hotelier César Ritz, the César Awards are based on visits by a team of experienced inspectors and reports from trusted readers.  Hotels cannot pay for inclusion in The Good Hotel Guide and its inspectors do not accept free hospitality.

Airds Hotel is a former ferry inn beside Loch Linnhe at Port Appin, near Oban (Argyll). Guests can rely on warm hospitality, great comfort, mouth-watering dining and a wealth of excursions and activities in the magnificent setting on Scotland’s mountainous west coast. Airds has a 2- or 3-night Winter Special Offer priced from £134 and £126 per person per night respectively. Prices are based on 2 sharing ½-board with a few extra treats and are valid from 1st November 2019 to 31st March 2020 subject to availability (exclusion periods apply).

Airds’ 8 rooms and 3 suites guarantee all-round excellence. In addition to being Scottish Luxury Hotel of the Year in The Good Hotel Guide 2020, its distinction is endorsed by membership of 3 superior portfolios: Relais & Châteaux, Pride of Britain, and Connoisseur’s Scotland.
