Slido secures gold at inaugural Internal Communications and Engagement Awards in London

Slido has secured the Gold Award for ‘Best Ongoing Commitment to Internal Communications’ at the inaugural Internal Communications and Engagement Awards 2019. The final result for the award, organised by Communicate magazine, was announced at a ceremony in London last week on Monday May 13th. Over 200 attendees, including agencies and in-house teams, joined the event at The Brewery in the City of London, hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons.

Commenting on the result, Slido CEO Peter Komornik, said: “We are truly honoured to have been recognised in such prestigious company. We work with many clients looking to use our platform to enhance their own internal communications and are grateful to them for the continued learning and growth our relationships give us. We are always striving to improve our own internal communications and team engagement, particularly as the team continues to expand globally and our remote workforce increases. This award really goes to the team who work hard on our internal comms and creative engagement initiatives. I am proud of them all.”

Entries in 19 award categories were judged by an experienced panel of senior internal communications professionals. The judges highlighted Slido’s integrated approach to comms and culture and commented on some more unusual tactics, such as the Slido Book Club initiative, as “creating an interesting place where people want to work”.

The inaugural Internal Communications and Engagement Awards highlights the impact internal communications has on a business, the role of the internal communicator within an organisation and the creative strategies developed to promote an engaged workforce.
