Local businesses get shortlisted in the Welsh Hospitality Awards 2018

The Welsh Hospitality Awards 2018 are back once again for a memorable celebration of those who provide residents and visitors with great experiences and enhance the Welsh hospitality industry. After a tremendous response from the public over the past months with hundreds of nominations received, the full list with finalists has been complied.

The black-tie event will be held at The Exchange Hotel, Cardiff on Sunday, November 25.

The third Welsh Hospitality Awards aim to acknowledge those who make a real difference in this sector as well as the efforts that the professionals put in ensuring their customers always receive services that are second to no-one.

Hotel Indigo Cardiff is one of the finalists in the hospitality category. Hotel Indigo Cardiff will find out if they have managed to win the intense competition and collect the trophy at the elegant ceremony, held in November.

Tom Gaskell, general manager at the hotel, said: “I am very honoured that the hotel has made it to the final. The team here at Hotel Indigo Cardiff work exceptionally hard and to even to get to this stage is a privilege in itself. We are up against strong competition, but I am looking forward to the ceremony this month and wish everyone nominated the best of luck.”

The awards will provide a platform to thank everyone who is committed to make the country a friendly place to visit, from restaurants that serve delicious dishes to bars and clubs that keep Wales alive at nights, museums, shopping centres as well as festivals that promote different cultures.

A Spokesperson for the Welsh Hospitality Awards 2018 said: “Working in the hospitality industry can be challenging at times and these awards aim to recognise those who have succeeded in this sector, despite the difficulties. There are people who have dedicated their whole career in making the country a great attraction for its lively atmosphere. It is time to recognise those professionals, whose work often remains un-noticed.

“The Welsh hospitality industry is a huge contributor to the country’s revenue and these awards will seek to honour those who work within establishments where excellence is a standard. We would like to congratulate all the finalists for their nomination and wish them the best of luck.”
