Countess of York at the National Railway Museum wins prestigious Afternoon Tea of the Year accolade

Countess of York at the National Railway Museum has won the Afternoon Tea of the Year award at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, which celebrate the best in English tourism.  
The Countess of York beat off stiff competition from The Grand, Brighton and The Chester Grosvenor to secure the prestigious accolade at yesterday’s (24 April) ceremony at the Hilton Waldorf in London.

The resort's João Pinto Coelho was recently recognised by Meeting & Incentive Forums for his outstanding contribution since their inception in 2006. At the recent 100th forum organised by Worldwide Events - a division of Big Worldwide - at Disneyland Paris, Pinto Coelho received the award for Outstanding Contribution, presented to the individual who has best embodied the spirit and values of the event during the last 11 years.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel recognized in the top 1% of all companies in all industries worldwide for its responsible business practices
Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the global travel management company, today announced that it has been rated among the top 1% of all companies for its responsible business practices by EcoVadis, the environmental and social performance rating agency. CWT was awarded the Gold Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating up from the previous Silver rating.

A pastry chef at Leasowe Castle has been crowned ‘Young Chef of the Year’ at Wirral Tourism Awards.
Emily Milne, 20, from Leasowe, beat off stiff local competition to scoop the prestigious accolade after wowing judges with her forward-thinking culinary creations served at the16th century property’s in-house restaurant, Brasserie 1593.

International and European Association Awards shortlist announced

Chief Executive of the Year 2016: L-R CEO of AAE Damian Hutt announces the 2016 winner; Heike Mahmoud, Director of the Berlin Convention Office/Visit Berlin presents the award to Grégoire Pavillon, Executive Director of the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
