EICC reports record profits for 2018

EICC builds revenue streams outside Europe to counter Brexit
The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has reported record results for 2018, with operating profits at £1.4 million (2017: £1.2 million) for the year to 31 December 2018. Revenue figures of £11.8 million (2017: £11.2 million) were achieved during the financial year while economic impact reached £58.1 million (2017: £55 million), with visitor numbers totalling over 300,000 to the venue over the 12-month period.

Korea unveils new Convention Center in Suwon

Korea is set to unveil Suwon Convention Center (SCC), on March 29 (Fri). Suwon Convention Center is expected to take its place as a hub for MICE Industry in the Southern Gyeonggi area and turn the city of Suwon into a competitive platform for MICE Industry.

Transportation development for the Las Vegas Conference Centre

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has appointed The Boring Company (founded by Elon Musk) to design, build and operate a vehicle to act as a people carrier for the Las Vegas Convention Centre. The proposed route for the vehicle will incorporate a loop of underground express route tunnels.
