RAI Amsterdam marked Global Exhibitions Day on Wednesday 5 June by sharing tips with organisers on how to make their events more socially relevant. As the RAI’s CSR Manager Stephanie Mathas explains in the latest RAI blog, events often have more value than is immediately obvious: knowledge, space and materials can be used to greater effect than planned, without large additional investments.

New event launches to celebrate National Volunteers’ Week
The NEC has been chosen to host Volunteer Expo – the first event of its kind – created and led by Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland.  
Kicking off from 1st-3rd May 2020, Volunteer Expo will connect new and existing volunteers with charities and community-interest organisations to encourage greater involvement with volunteering and social action projects.

New purpose-built conference centre to launch in 2020
A new, state of the art conference and events venue is set to launch in Birmingham in spring 2020. The new centre, which will feature an on-site hotel, is being built as part of the ‘Eastside’ development of the city, alongside HS2, and will form part of the ‘knowledge quarter’ being created around the historic area.

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) is celebrating the contributions and achievements of Australia’s First Nations people this National Reconciliation Week, which commemorates the anniversaries of the 1967 referendum and historic Mabo High Court decision in 1992.

Leicester Tigers appoint Levy UK as new Welford Road Stadium caterers

Leicester Tigers and Levy UK as caterers
Leicester Tigers Rugby Club has announced Levy UK, the market leaders in sports stadia hospitality, as official caterers at their home ground Welford Road Stadium.
Levy UK will overhaul the match day and non-match day catering operations when the partnership begins on June 1st, 2019. The food and hospitality contract will allow Levy UK to deliver their innovative concepts and fresh approach to match day and C&E catering across the 25,849-capacity stadium.
