Ifema is preparing the 2016 edition of Salón Look Madrid, which is to take place from 5 to 7 November at Feria de Madrid

Salón Look Madrid
Ifema is progressing with the organisation of a new edition of the Salón Look Madrid, the Image and Integral Aesthetics Exhibition taking place from  5 to 7 November this year at Feria de Madrid, with the latest innovations and proposals in the areas of Aesthetics, Hairdressing, Cosmetics, Make-up and Nails.

At the next gathering the event continues with the upward trend begun at the previous edition and will occupy four halls, one more than in previous events, with exhibits split by sector and displayed by individual category in each hall.

Hall 3 will be totally dedicated to Aesthetics firms with their latest products and treatments and continuous demonstrations; Hall 4 will host Hairdressing businesses showing their most recent market launches, and Hall 5 will house Nails and Make-up with firms from both sectors offering various competitions, activities and contests. In addition to all this, Hall 14.1 will feature the Hair Look catwalk, where a number of  Hairdressing shows will take place organised by important national and international names.

In addition to the trade area, Salón Look Madrid 2016 will boast a full schedule of parallel activities, which will allow professionals to complement their visit and learn first-hand about the innovations and progress made by the sector's leading companies.

Outstanding professional activities in all sectors
The Salón Look will again include the International Aesthetics Congress; the professional World Massages workshop; the Make-up Championships and the Nailympics, the international Olympics of the nails market.

Meanwhile, the Hair Look Catwalk will once again be the centre of attention for professionals in the world of hairdressing. It will take place in Hall 14.1 at Feria de Madrid, the same hall that hosts fashion shows during Madrid Fashion Week twice a year, offering through spectacular shows the various proposals of new trends in styles, colours and techniques and finishes, by prominent figures from within the world of international hairdressing.

Amongst other events planned for the catwalk for this edition are the shows from L’Óreal; Effervescene, under the direction of Mikel Luzea; the Positive Show from the X-Presion group; the catwalk show and presentation of the Fígaro Prizes for Creative Spanish Hairdressing, and the Omat Gala. Completing the programme are activities such as Look Academy with theoretical and practical training in both beauty and hairdressing; the Hair Look Focus stage; the Speakers Corner; the Innovation Gallery, and the Salón Look Awards, which recognise the work of professionals and companies within the beauty sector.

1st Latin American Micropigmentation Congress
One of the major innovations of this edition will be the 1st Latin American Micropigmentation Congress, a further example of the ongoing commitment of this event to offering quality and prestigious training to the professional visitor, tailored to new technologies. It takes place on 5, 6 and 7 November in Hall 3, where all the Aesthetics-related content of the Fair will be found.

The event will benefit from contributions from today's best international trainers and will be enhanced by a commercial area where different firms specialising in this technique will exhibit their products.

International buyers programme
As in previous editions, Salón Look, in collaboration with Icex España Exportación e Inversiones, and Stanpa, the  National Perfume and Cosmetics Association, has organised an International Buyers Programme for Salón Look Madrid 2016, with the aim of offering exhibiting companies the opportunity to contact qualified professionals from other countries. Through the International Guest Programme, the fair will be visited this year by buyers from Chile and the United States.

At this edition, as in previous years, Salón Look Madrid is maintaining all its collaboration agreements with the National Perfume and Cosmetics Association (Stanpa), to strengthen links with the beauty sector.

A favourable evaluation of the 2015 edition
The last edition of Salón Look Madrid received visits from 61,163 professionals. Of them, 1,450 were foreigners, 42% more than in the previous edition, mainly from Germany, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain. This event was one of the most comprehensive of recent years, with direct representation from 370 businesses and featuring over 1,200 national and international brands.
