100,000,000th visitor for RAI Amsterdam
RAI Amsterdam passed a major milestone in its distinguished history on Thursday 7 April. During the Intertraffic Amsterdam exhibition, the RAI welcomed the 100 millionth visitor to its premises since the opening of the Europa complex by Prince Bernard in 1961.
Mr Bartenbach from the Austrian company Bartenbach was surprised by a flashmob made up of RAI personnel.

As the 100 millionth visitor, he was then officially welcomed by Paul Riemens, RAI Amsterdam's new CEO and Product Manager Intertraffic Amsterdam Joyce de Winter. In addition to a VIP treatment at Intertraffic Amsterdam, Mr Bartenbach was presented with a cheque for a fully catered weekend in Amsterdam.

The RAI has come a long way since the opening of the Europa complex 55 years ago. Today it organises events in the Netherlands and abroad from its first-class facilities at the RAI Convention Centre in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam. RAI Amsterdam welcomes around 1.5 million visitors a year to some 500 events, including tradeshows, conferences, corporate events and much more besides. The annual spin-off value of the RAI for the city of Amsterdam amounts to at least 600 million euro and 7000 jobs.

Intertraffic Amsterdam is one of 25 exhibitions owned by RAI Amsterdam and the world’s largest and most influential trade event for infrastructure, traffic management, safety, parking and smart mobility, providing a comprehensive overview of the very latest products, services and total solutions offered by suppliers. It also showcases the latest trends and developments. Intertraffic is intended for policymakers, specialists and operational personnel from government authorities, engineering consultancies, and the industry at large.
