Finnair adds fifth daily flight to London Heathrow

Finnair is increasing the number of flights it operates to London Heathrow from four to five times daily. Effective March 30, 2014, flight AY995 departs Helsinki at 16:30 for arrival in London three hours later at 17:30 local time, while AY996 departs London at 19:35 and arrives in Helsinki at 00:35 local time. The new frequency will be flown primarily with Finnair’s new Airbus A321 aircraft, which are equipped with fuel-efficient Sharklet wingtip devices and operate within Heathrow’s strictest noise parameters.

Emirates launches Spain’s first A380 service

Emirates has launched the first regular A380 service to Spain with daily A380 flights to Barcelona replacing the Boeing 777 previously operated on the route. Adding over 2,200 seats per week between Dubai and Barcelona, Emirates’ newly-expanded operation is a direct response to strong passenger demand.  It will also help contribute to Spain’s economic growth and enable more passengers to experience its flagship A380 product.

Lufthansa rolls out mobile phone services with AeroMobile

German flag-carrier adds inflight mobile network to its connectivity product

Europe’s largest airline, Lufthansa, has launched its inflight mobile phone service with AeroMobile, allowing passengers to use their own mobile devices to text and browse online at 30,000 feet via Lufthansa FlyNet.

Air Partner flies celebrities for Channel 4’s The Jump

Air Partner, the leading air charter broker, was delighted to be selected by Twofour Group to fly the celebrity contestants for Channel 4’s hit show The Jump.
Air Partner flew the celebrity contestants and the show’s team from Gatwick to Innsbruck for training on a Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft on 15 December, before returning on 21 December. The Group then organised the ‘wrap up’ flight on 4 February when all the filming had finished.
