Southampton Airport and Eastern Airways launch new Leeds Service

Today, Southampton Airport welcomed passengers for the brand new Eastern Airways flights to and from Leeds Bradford Airport. Customers departing on the first afternoon flight to Leeds enjoyed a complimentary, traditional cream tea in the airport’s departure lounge, to mark the occasion.

Saudia’s free inflight Wi-Fi promotion

Airline celebrates 1,000,000th Facebook followers and five new connectivity-equipped B777-300ERs

Saudia is celebrating its one millionth Facebook follower by giving passengers free inflight Wi-Fi sessions. For January, passengers flying on Saudia’s OnAir-equipped Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s will be able to use the Internet for free during their flight.

Omani pilots boost national carrier’s flight crews

Oman Air’s flight crew numbers are receiving a major boost, thanks to a significant increase in the recruitment of Omani citizens.
The airline, which currently operates 30 aircraft and has a further 20 on order for delivery from next year, has also seen a major upswing in the number of Omani trainees preparing to fulfil a range of flight deck roles, aboard all Oman Air’s aircraft types.

Oman Air celebrates 20 years of its Muscat-Kuwait service

Oman Air is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its service between Muscat International Airport and Kuwait International Airport. The service, which links two key capital cities in the Gulf region, was launched on 14th January 1994 and has proved extremely popular with both business and leisure travellers.

Oman Air achieves No.2 spot for on-time departures at Heathrow

Oman Air is celebrating reaching second place in the December 2013 issue of the highly competitive Heathrow Punctuality League Table, in recognition of its enviable on-time departure record.  
The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, working closely with its ground handlers DNATA, has worked hard not just to achieve a high ranking within the Heathrow table, but also to ensure the highest standards of service and punctuality for customers.
