Hospitality Professionals Association reacts to March furlough extension

Jane Pendlebury, the CEO of HOSPA, the Hospitality Professionals Association, shares her thoughts on how she sees it impacting the sector,  
“The extension of the furlough scheme is, of course, very welcome news for the hospitality industry. However, I can’t help but feel it’s somewhat ominous. Does this mean that lockdown will be extended beyond 2nd December? I suspect so.

Meetings Industry Association welcomes UK-wide furlough extension

The Meetings Industry Association is delighted with today’s announcement that the furlough scheme has been extended by five months.
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of The Meetings Industry Association, said: “On behalf of the sector we are relieved to hear that Rishi Sunak is extending the furlough scheme UK-wide until 31 March, and that the government will continue to cover 80% of employees’ wages as it gives the financial assurance that will enable businesses to start planning for the longer-term.
