The Leisure Pass Group joins up for new China tourism campaign

The Leisure Pass Group today became one of the first 100 companies across the UK to be awarded a new Chartermark declaring it is fit to welcome Chinese visitors.
The GREAT China Welcome Charter is a new initiative from VisitBritain to make Britain the destination of choice for the rapidly-growing Chinese market. Visitors from China have doubled in the last five years and tourism bosses hope they will treble again by 2020.

Respondents to PCMA Convene’s 23rd Annual Meetings Market Survey reported continued improvement in key meeting metrics and higher expectations for 2014 — although challenges remain.
This month, PCMA Convene magazine published the results of its annual Meetings Market Survey, which has been considered an industry benchmark for the past 23 years.

International associations give BestCities top marks

International associations and meeting planners have given BestCities and their ten partner bureaux some of the highest satisfaction scores on record in the alliance’s 2013 annual client survey.
141 clients from the association market segment participated in the independent survey; using a 1 to 10 rating scale where 1 is “very poor” and 10 is “very good”.
