Business Travel Direct launches conference and events division

Leading independent TMC, Business Travel Direct is expanding its offering of specialist services with the launch of a Conferences and Events division.
The division has been launched in response to growing client demand for the TMC to arrange and manage corporate events.  The division provides a full range of services including group and incentive travel, events, meetings, conferences and team building events.  The team will take care of everything from venue finding, preparing RFPs and site visits to event and delegate management.

Tourism industry gears up for English Tourism Week 2014

English Tourism Week 2014 officially launched yesterday (27 March) at the annual Tourism Society dinner at the House of Commons, which was attended by Tourism Minister Helen Grant MP. The launch kick started a week long programme of events from 29 March – 6 April to celebrate tourism in England. The industry-wide initiative run by the national tourist board, VisitEngland, is designed to shine a light on the importance of tourism in England - an industry worth £106bn a year to England, supporting 2.6million jobs

The British Hospitality Association (BHA) today launches its new sector programme for serviced apartments and welcomes its first serviced sector member, Think Apartments.
With a long-established track record of attracting members from sector groups spanning hotels, attractions, catering and restaurants, the BHA was keen to capitalise on the rising popularity of serviced and self-catering apartments in the UK, as well as representing the interests of sector leaders like Think Apartments..
