HBAA Mental Health survey reveals striking findings

‘Working practices and increased pressures contribute significantly to mental health issues in the hospitality and events industry’
Working practices, shorter meeting lead times and increased pressures contribute significantly to poor mental health issues in the hospitality and events industry.
21 per cent of HBAA members who responded to its recent Mental Health Survey said that these factors contribute greatly and 43 per cent said that they made a considerable contribution.

CWT Research Reveals positives significantly outweigh negatives at work and at home when traveling for business

Research by CWT, the B2B4E travel management platform, shows that business travelers feel that positives outweigh negatives at work (92%) and at home (82%) when traveling for business. Travelers from the Americas are the most enthusiastic at 94% and 86% respectively, followed by travelers from Asia Pacific at 93% and 84%, and Europe at 89% and 77%.

Louisa Watson to feature in the Women to Watch in Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Index 2019

Louisa Watson, Director of Marketing at Wyboston Lakes Resort is to feature in the first Women to Watch in Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Index 2019.  
Developed by campaign group WiH2020 and launching on 8 October, the index will feature inspiring female professionals, including leaders who occupy senior and board positions. The organisation aims to increase women's representation in leadership roles, showcase talent in the industry and share advice for advancement.
