NYC & Company kicks off Pan-European MICE road show

City’s Official Destination Marketing Organisation Visits London, Stockholm and Madrid Showcasing New York City’s Standout Offerings
NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organisation and convention bureau, kicks off its 2017 European MICE Road Show on 25th September, 2017, visiting three major business city’s including London, Stockholm and Madrid.


From 25th to 28th September, members of the NYC & Company Convention Development team will showcase New York City’s offerings as a leading global meeting and incentive destination to influential European buyers, highlighting the City’s world-class event venues and impressive capabilities, diverse meeting spaces, and exciting incentive activities.

New hotels this year include Ian Schrager’s Public hotel, MOXY NYC Times Square - home to the largest all-season hotel rooftop event space in the City, Firmdale Hotel’s The Whitby and The James New York – NOMAD in Manhattan, while in Brooklyn, The William Vale and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge are among the boroughs most prominent new hotel openings. Additionally, the opening of several brand new major landmark attractions in the beating heart of Manhattan, Times Square, provide an array of opportunities to host distinctly memorable private events, including; Gulliver’s Gate, an interactive world of miniatures across a 23,000-square-foot space occupying the ground floor of the former New York Times building; the jaw-dropping spaces at National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey (opening 6 October, 2017); and the first-of-its-kind NFL Times Square Experience (opening November, 2017).  

European buyers will also be updated on the latest developments with Jacob K. Javits Center’s $1.5 billion expansion, which will add more than 1.2 million square feet of additional event space in the coming years, including the largest ballroom in the Northeast at 60,000 square feet. Furthermore, details will be revealed on the much-anticipated Hudson Yards development which, when complete in 2025, will be the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States and the largest development in New York City since Rockefeller Center.
