For over 50 years, Mastercard has been using its technology and insight to make payments safer, simpler and smarter.
The global operator provides solutions to meet the demands of Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), using the next generation of payment authentication protocols - EMV® 3-D Secure. With this partnership, BTA members will benefit from access to tools and expertise that allow smoother payments and fraud awareness, whilst meeting the new SCA regulations.
Clive Wratten, CEO, BTA, commented: "We are pleased to welcome Mastercard to the BTA partner programme. As we transition into the new SCA enforcement, it is important that TMCs are able to offer clients a user-friendly experience and minimise the friction authentication adds to the checkout process, without compromising security. Our partnership with Mastercard will help our members to achieve this.”
Brooke DiNatale, Vice President, Product Management for Mastercard Europe commented: “As an industry partner member of the BTA, we look forward to working closely with Travel Management Companies to improve the business traveller experience by ensuring payments are as seamless as possible.”
Representing a diverse range of travel management companies – from global companies to small independent specialists and top regional agencies – and their clients, partners and industry associates, BTA is the authority on business travel. Originally founded in 1967, it acts to lobby those who have an impact on the business travel community, together with promoting the activities of its members as the best in quality and value to the business traveller.
