PCMA will bring a series of Knowledge Exchange events to Europe over the coming months with a focus on providing business insights to help the region's meetings industry demonstrate how business events can further global economic growth and social progress.
The first Knowledge Exchange in this series took place yesterday, 17 September at The Cavendish, St. James. This event, created in association with Canada Business Events, will provide business events professionals with market intelligence and data analytics insights to help them deliver holistic event experiences.
Knowledge Exchanges were created by PCMA, a global leader in the business events industry, to provide localised education sessions in an intimate setting. Previous Knowledge Exchanges have focused on crisis management, brand purpose, event experience design, meeting and event trends, and disruptive technologies. PCMA extended its Knowledge Exchange programme this year to new locations to engage more audiences.
During the session at The Cavendish, St. James, Miquel Santasusana, COO, Domestic Data Streamers, will share his experiences implementing data into business strategies and communication campaigns. He has worked with brands including Nike, Beefeater and Western Digital and organisations such as Berkley Qatar Foundation and UNICEF. Also speaking is Emma Jane Taylor, managing director of Dot-the-Eye, who has helped small-to-medium sized societies and associations grow.
“Together with our efforts in the Asia Pacific and Americas regions, we look forward to engaging with event professionals in Europe, so that we may all have successful business events that improve global economies and social outcomes," said Luca Favetta, regional business director for PCMA's EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. "Data analytics is an important part of business events and we want to support our industry's ability to understand and utilise data effectively."
Santasusana will also present his programme on 18 September at the Hilton Brussels Grand Place at another Knowledge Exchange created in association with Canada Business Events.
A 10 October session at ICC Belfast, created in association with Visit Belfast, will feature Stephanie Dubois-Cannon, programme director for SAPPHIRE NOW who will examine the role events play in marketing strategies and how to leverage attendee data to create brand experiences.
