The evenings events kicked off with pre-diner drinks in The Library and on the adjoining outdoor space, a great opportunity for everyone to network and to hear about all of the offerings from each of the hosts, and to also be entertained by a magician before sitting down for an evening meal.
Agents enjoyed starters including seared foie gras, severn and wye smoked salmon and heritage tomato salad swiftly followed by main courses of Beef wellington, wild mushroom ricotta ravioli and pan fried halibut. For those that still had room left a white chocolate mille fueille with warm sweet plum and vanilla sauce was served for dessert. The meal concluded with a selection of british cheeses accompanied with fig chutney and biscuits.
Following a multi-million pound investment, Eynsham Hall now has contemporary dedicated meeting and training facilities situated in the heart of a 3,000 acre estate. The 18-month programme of extensive refurbishment work included the Main Hall bedrooms and public areas, as well as cosy lodge bedrooms and the creation of a contemporary brasserie in collaboration with design consultancy Project Orange. The property boasts a flexible range of 40 meeting and function rooms, making Eynsham Hall ideal for hosting conferences, training and special events.
Sarah Tennant, commented, “The evening was a great success and I’m looking forward to repeating the event with the same clients in 2020. I value customer relationships and it was the perfect opportunity to update so many key clients at one event.”
Kerry Walsh, Vice Chairqueen of AIEA, Managing Director of Hatch Events, said, “I was lucky enough to be invited to the inaugural Star Your World dinner at Eynsham Hall in Oxfordshire. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Sarah for several years and I was delighted to help support her as she started her own representation company for DMC’s. Her portfolio comprises high quality DMC’s in key locations that our clients use. It was also great to see so many of my fellow AIEA members at the dinner, which proved to be a great opportunity to discuss best practice along with what’s new in the MICE sector which is invaluable discussions to small agencies. The dinner itself was exquisite and Eynsham Hall did not disappoint….”
Paula Kelsey, AIEA Chair, Managing Director Cloud9 Events, commented, “At the recent Star Your World Dinner at Eynsham Hall, it was great to see so many members of the AIEA enjoying the wonderful hospitality of our hosts and the venue. Given that membership of the Alliance is now over 70 different member agencies, it was gratifying to see so many people, and to catch up with Sarah Tennant again, as it was on one of her fam trips back in 2015 that the idea of a coalition between small agencies was first discussed “
Lesley Tyler, Head of Events Operations, Gray Dawes Group, said, “Having worked with Sarah over the past few years, I was delighted to hear she had started up STAR Your World, her attention to detail and customer service is second to none and this was an evening I didn’t want to miss. At Gray Dawes Group, we work across the globe, the UK, Italy and Portugal are key destinations for our clients for incentive’s and events so it was great to meet Filipe from TA DMC Portugal and to see Eynsham Hall – its been years since I had been there and the hotel is stunning, with great service and such a fantastic setting.
