Seatfrog, which emerged in 2017 as a landmark disruptor to the travel industry, has today revealed a brand-new innovative partnership with Capita Travel and Events, a specialist in UK travel, meetings and event management.
In an industry first, the partnership will offer travellers who book standard advance tickets through Capita Travel and Events, the opportunity to upgrade to First Class. Providing greater flexibility, as well as access to an improved on-the-go working environment when travelling on LNER journeys. Travellers simply need to download the Seatfrog app to get bidding.
The partnership also sees Seatfrog continuing to expand into the business travel industry, with expectations of strong growth for the year ahead. The collaboration is particularly significant as data from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) predicts continued growth in the business travel industry, with spending expected to reach $1.7 trillion by 2022, as year-on-year spending increased to 7.1% in 2018.
Seatfrog works by creating a live, dynamic bidding system for First Class seats that would otherwise remain empty. Using unique technology, the app integrates customer bookings with complex internal systems, allowing travellers to bid on empty seats in First and Business class using live, highly accurate travel information.
