Merlin on the Road with Marilyn – Who will you choose to visit your agency?

London Event Management company, Merlin Events, hit the road this week with a series of surprise (and slightly unusual) visits to some of the capital’s top industry agencies.
‘We wanted to bring a little bit of glamour and fun to people on what would otherwise have been a normal Monday in the office,’ says Dorothy Constantino, Marketing Manager for Merlin Events. ‘And what better way to do that with the world’s most iconic female star – Marilyn Monroe? Oh, and cupcakes, of course.’

The team from Merlin Events, which boasts Madame Tussauds London, SEA LIFE London Aquarium, The London Dungeon and The Coca-Cola London Eye in its portfolio of venues, travelled to all four corners of London to drop in on Brook Green, Wedgewood Britain, Ex Events and Uptown Events.

Everyone was delighted with getting away from their desks for a break and a photo opportunity with Marilyn (aka world-famous look-a-like Suzie Kennedy). As well as celebrating Oscar’s week, and with International Women’s Day coming up this month, Merlin Events chose Marilyn as their ambassador for the project as they have always celebrated strong women. Madame Tussauds’ latest wax work in London is UK’s biggest selling female artist, Dua Lipa.

Merlin Events was also keen to let agency teams know about all the other fun and unique experiences guests can enjoy at their venue, including the 4D flying bus and theatrical shows at Shrek Adventure! London.

‘The reaction from staff at the agencies we visited was fabulous.’ says Carla Bishop, Merlin Events’ Event Sales Manager. ‘It was such a great way to kick start the week for everyone involved. We’ll be doing it again sometime soon, so watch out – your agency could be next. And who knows, it might be different famous face from one of our attractions next time…’
