GP Associates hosts travel industry event to launch online auction for two exceptional Cancer Charities

On Wednesday 28th November, GP Associates, one of the UK’s leading sales companies for the luxury hotel sector, launched the most exciting holiday auction available online in the name of raising money for two exceptional cancer charities. Key travel industry professionals joined GP Associates at their launch event, hosted by famous presenter, journalist and model, Claudia Winkleman, to open the auction to the public.

The auction, which is running for two weeks from 28th November 2018 to 12th December 2018, offers participants the chance to bid for and win the most exciting holiday experiences all in the name of two exceptional cancer charities: Maggie’s Centres and Ovarian Care Fund with Imperial Health Charity.  

Maggie’s Centres provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer as well as their friends and families through a network of drop in centres throughout the UK. The Ovarian Care Fund with Imperial Health Charity is raising money to conduct ground-breaking research into advanced ovarian cancer in women. The research is being led by Professor Christina Fotopoulou, one of the country’s leading experts in ovarian cancer, and her team at Imperial College in west London.

The evening took place at Two Temple place with Janine Glasspole, MD of GP Associates, welcoming guests and introducing the speakers for the night: Alan Eisner, Chairman of Maggie’s Cancer Centres and Peter Baldwin, Corporate Relations, Imperial Health Charity. Claudia Winkleman then took to the stage to announce the raffle winners with prizes including Lucy Choi shoes amongst various incredible travel experiences. The online auction was then opened to the public and a spectacular drinks and canapes service was also provided by one of London’s top caterers, Alison Price.

The online auction provides all participants with the chance to bid for stays at 5 star luxury hotels in London, country retreats in the United Kingdom, or city, coastal and country breaks in some of Europe’s most iconic properties. If that does not appeal, there are stays at beach resorts in Europe, the Indian Ocean, the US, the Middle East and the Caribbean available. Golfers and skiers are also covered with a range of active packages available. All travel industry professionals are invited to take a look and share this opportunity with friends, families and colleagues to raise as much awareness as possible these two impressive causes.
