Continuing with the evolving theme of time, the upcoming 26th Hotel General Managers’ Conference, taking place 28 and 29 January 2019, is titled ‘Now Is The Time To…’ and will explore the range of industry challenges and opportunities.
The increasing pressures of political uncertainty, recruitment crisis, development opportunities and growing numbers of industry disruptors, the conference aims to empower hospitality professionals with leading insight that can drive future change within their businesses. Hoteliers will be led through a programme focusing on change, influence, aspiration, and growth that will inspire the creation of practical and measurable innovation to take away from the two-day event.
The engaging programme includes informative sessions from: David Guile’s, Executive Leadership Coach and former CEO of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts with a “Ted Talk” session around how to gain control of your free time.
Kate Nicholls, CEO of UKHospitality, will evoke the research and strategy behind upcoming hospitality challenges, unpicking the ways in which hoteliers can prepare and future proof themselves – particularly in light of Brexit.
David Bailey, Director of CBRE, will then highlight the trends in the UK hotel industry, enabling attendees to establish how they can adapt to win in their geographic markets.
Marco Reick, Director of People at LEON, will share his experience of rapidly growing a brand and how LEON recruits its employees in different locations based on the DNA of the local workfoce.
Stefan Wisenbach, a serial entrepreneur with expertise in employee engagement will enlighten delegates with a session on 360 degree feedback for employers.
The newest in Artificial Intelligence will be shared by technology expert and senior lecturer at Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne Ian Miller, who is at the forefront of new developments of the international hospitality industry.
Chairing the event will be returning favourite Peter Hancock FIH MI, Pride of Britain Hotels Chief Executive.
Chairman of the Master Innholders Conference Committee, David Taylor FIH MI, commented: “A sequel to this year’s celebration of the industry, the 2019 conference aims to empower hoteliers to step out of their comfort zone and revolutionise their approach to operating their businesses. This isn’t a time to be standing still, we need to come together and take the next steps to ensure we continue to be one of the top industries in the country. I hope to see many professionals join us for revolutionising two-days.”
