London City Selection and Sequoia Venue Solutions pave the way with corporate training academy

London City Selection, the City of London’s consortium of unique venues, has teamed up with Sequoia Venue Solutions and industry stakeholders, to create, host and participate in the first ever bespoke corporate training academy programme.

Designed by Sequoia Venue Solutions to educate venues by sharing the best content, training and coaching, the bespoke corporate training academy programme will help renew and instil confidence in venues and their staff; providing them with the tools and knowhow to implement best practice within the workplace.

The training session workshop will be held at The HAC, a London City Selection member venue, on March 21st and will provide insight and educational tools to apply when working with corporate event planners. Many LCS venue members noted the complexities of working with corporate planners, with compliance and procurement processes to consider, which led to this educational topic of choice.

Rowan Kitching, Chair of LCS commented; “From talking to our members we’ve identified a gap in the market for targeted education programmes. Delivering the corporate training academy gives our members the knowledge and skillset they require to build those relationships with the corporate buyers” 

The session will be led by independent industry expert Rosie Ham, who has experience within the corporate events sector, Ham commented; “Sequoia Venue Solutions Founder, Samme Allen and I are excited to be delivering this course specifically created for venues around navigating corporate events teams. This is about embracing the challenge and putting a focus on developing strong relationships"

Championing the corporate training academy programme initiative, Hannah Leverton founder of Leverton Events & Communications Ltd, an independent strategic project, communications and consultancy services to corporate clients, commented; “I think the educational session on corporate planners is a great idea. Putting the customer first is essential - understanding the corporate planner’s objectives and needs from the get go, whilst responding quickly is vital.” 

The corporate training academy programme will be taking place on 21st March at The HAC, from 9.30am – 12.30pm. None LCS members are welcome to join and be a part of the invaluable training session, which costs £199+VAT per person.
